Mouktar vows to do more for FCTFA after a year in office

It’s a year exactly on Saturday when a sports philanthropist, former players’ agent and football administrator Alhaji  Aba Mouktar Mohammed assumed office as elected Chairman of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Football Association (FA).

His 365 days in office has been adjudged as the best due to numerous innovations and strategies he brought in into the administration of football in the FCTFA. He introduced digitalisation of the FCT League, credible supervision of the Area Council Football Chairmanship Elections, purchased quality kits for members of FCT Referee Association, sponsored of coaches to NISa also helped in training some sports journalists in Abuja among others, gathered from sources close to Mouktar.

The hard working football administrator also agreed that his Board has done a lot in the past year and the Board under his leadership  is ready to do more in the coming years.

“I would say it’s been an amazing year to be honest full of many positives. I still feel it’s like a dream as to what we as a board has achieved, the teamwork, we achieved it!

“Long list of many projects that have touched all parts that make up the football structure which included players, referees, coaches, media and also administrators”, Mouktar told

He, however promised more in the coming years: “We have alot more to look forward to for the future we are not resting. We came with a vision, a plan and we had a fantastic team so execution was easy!

“We want to impact more on women’s football, more on youth structures, more on football pitches, to train more referees and more coaches”, Mouktar also disclosed to
