Coronavirus : No Eagles star tests positive- Rohr

Super Eagles’ Chief Coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that no Super Eagles player tested positive to the dreaded coronavirus disease.

Football loving Nigerians have been worried about the health situation of their darling Eagles’ stars but the good health declaration from Rohr who has been speaking constantly with some of  the players in Europe would now bring joy and respite to the Eagles’ fans.

“I am in good communication with all our players and I can joyfully and confidently tell you that no Super Eagles player tested positive to coronavirus”, Rohr told SPORTINGLIFE from Germany yesterday.

He further explained that,  “all other players say five or six are quarantined because their teammates got it (coronavirus) but they (Eagles players) don’t have it.

“Jamilu Collins is okay. Troost Ekong has to returned to Italy but was quarantined (because his Club’s teammate got infected).  Now he trains alone.

“Ola Aina is in London with his family because it is too dangerous to stay now in Northern Italy where he plays for his Italian”,, Rohr told SPORTINGLIFE.

The Franco-German football tactician however wishes for a quick solution to the coronavirus so that he and his players could quickly return to football business.

“We hope that coronavirus stops now.  We hope that everybody can continue our training programs. I have been in constant touch with virtually all our players and most importantly their clubs’ fitness coaches.

“Every Super Eagles player is fine as I speak with you. They can spend more time than usual with their families because of the break in football in Europe and rest of the world.  This is also a good thing to be with their families “, Rohr disclosed.
