Super Eagles’ Chief Coach Gernot Rohr has hailed the loan deal of Super Eagles and Stoke City mercurial midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo to La Liga club Getafe.
The Eagles star brokered the deal few days ago to be among the crucial deals done in the January 2020 transfer window business in Europe.
Etebo has completed a short term loan move to La Liga side Getafe until the end of the ongoing season according to Football Espana.
Los Azulones signed the Nigerian football star as a replacement for Markel Bergara who announced his retirement owing to the numerous injuries he has suffered.
However, the 24-year-old has the next six months to convince the Coliseum Alfonso Perez’s outfit to hand him a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
Despite the short term loan move, Rohr still believe the battling midfielder has made the right choice to quit the English Championship club to an elite club in Spanish league, La Liga.
“Coming to La Liga to play for Getafe is a good decision made by Etebo. Playing in the La Liga will surely improve his game and I am confident he will excel with Getafe. So I am very happy that Etebo is coming to La Liga “, Rohr told www.andantesports.com.ng from his base in France.
