Mouktar however reeled our the reasons for stepping up to vie for the FCT FA Chairmanship position.

“I found myself eligible. Why? Not because I just want to be the Chairman no, but I feel that now is the right time to revive the dwindling fortunes of the FCT FA.

“We are the capital city of Nigeria. We must be the premier FA. We must lead by example because there is a convergence of government and private companies here at the FCT and we supposed to take advantage of this.

“All the best brains and minds converge here in Abuja because it is the Federal Capital City and Nigeria is the giant of Africa. Therefore we must lead in football.

“So I asked myself what can we do? So my people, friends and stakeholders said let us go for this. In all honesty I accepted to contest and we went through all the right channels. We expressed our interest and bought the form and went for screening and we have been deem fit and proper to contest this election”, Mouktar told www.adantesports today.
