Super Eagles’ Team Manager Gernot Rohr has told www.adantesports.com.ng that self exiled Eagles wing attacker Victor Moses can help the Nigerian team”s bid to win the forthcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations if he rescind his decision and return to Eagles.
Rohr who made desperate efforts to make the Chelsea’s versatile player change his mind on quitting the team said he had to respect Moses decision when he couldn’t stop him.
Rohr however hailed the move the President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick is making now to convince the player to rescind his decision.
But the Franco-German football tactician in as much as he fully supported the idea of the player’s return has warned that Moses must play regularly for his club and must be fit before he can make his team.
“Victor Moses is a very good player for Nigeria. I believe it was too early for such a good player to stop international football when he did but we have to respect his decisions.
“If he changes his mind we will welcome him but he has to find that motivation within himself to come back and be ready to give his 100% at all time as we know he can.
“Then of course, it is important that he gets back to playing regularly at his club and get his sharpness back”, Rohr disclosed this to www.adantesports.com.ng.
